Zen Garden Exercise

Zen Garden was a small exercise we were required to do to test our knowledge of coding in CSS only.

Firstly I downloaded the html and css and opened them up in my text edit, Komodo Edit 8. I then quickly sketched out what i wanted the layout to look like on paper. (see image below).

I then went back in to the .CSS file looked at the coding and tried to edit where I thought was appropriate. I looked to try targeting the element tags inside of the HTML and change them inside the .CSS file. However coding is not my strongest skill and I immediately got confused and quite stuck. I did manage to change the font size and type, I also managed to repeat the position of one background image and take out the other image completely, however the final outcome was not very impressive, I feel I would need to further my knowledge in coding before going back to the zen garden style sheet. (below is my Zen Garden)
